Ural Airlines Airbus A320 lands in field in Siberia

Ural Airlines flight U61383 from Sochi (AER/URSS) to Omsk (OMS/UNOO) 

On September 12, 2023, Ural Airlines flight #U61383, en route from Sochi (AER/URSS) to Omsk (OMS/UNOO), was forced to make an emergency landing in the Novosibirsk region of Russia. The pilot reported a hydraulic issue to air traffic control (ATC). According to Russia's Interfax news agency, approximately 159-156 (TASS) passengers were onboard.

The 19-year-old Airbus A320-214 (RA-73805) initially approached Omsk at 2,000 feet. Still, it ascended, executed a turn around the city, and maintained an altitude of 18,000 feet before descending rapidly for an emergency landing in a field within the Ubinsky district of the Novosibirsk region, Russia.
