On September 8th, 2023, a Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330-200 with the registration N370HA, operating flight HA864 from Tokyo Haneda, Japan, to Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, returned to Tokyo shortly after takeoff due to an engine issue.

Approximately 30 minutes into the journey, the aircraft experienced an engine issue, returning to Tokyo. According to reports, six of the 264 passengers on board sustained injuries due to turbulence.
